Gather
We do not heal alone.
We gather to remember what we already know.
This work lives in rooms — gardens, candlelit spaces, and quiet virtual gatherings — where reflection becomes movement. Each experience is intentionally small, designed for presence rather than performance.
The Weight of Waiting Retreat
For the woman done postponing herself.
New York City
June 1, 2025
Beneath wide skies and a canopy of trees overlooking the Hudson River, fourteen women gathered to examine where they had been postponing themselves. Not dramatically. Deliberately.
We began with a question:
If the average life expectancy of a Black woman is 78, and you are 50, how many summers remain?
When framed that way, waiting feels less philosophical and far more critical.
The day unfolded slowly. Guided writing. Paired conversation. Gentle movement. Breathwork. Time to arrive fully in the body without performing, producing, or proving anything.
Participants explored where they had been “slow dancing” in their lives — lingering in situations long after clarity had arrived. In naming those truths aloud, something softened. What had lived as unspoken weight began to loosen.
What Women Shared
What lingered after the day unfolded.
Grounded. Present. Unrushed.
The Weight of Waiting is not about rushing.
It is about recognizing when readiness has already arrived — and choosing to participate in your life instead of postponing it.
You do not enter alone.
The 2026 Weight of Waiting retreat is in development.
Space will remain intentionally limited.
The Listening Room
An intimate evening of narrated reflection, guided journaling, and quiet conversation.
Clarity does not always need noise. Sometimes it needs to be held.
No performance.
Just voice and space.
